Carol Noyes Winters Scholarship

The Old Lyme Historical Society is pleased to announce the 2024 recipients of the Carol Noyes Winters Scholarship which is awarded to outstanding Lyme-Old Lyme students intending to study history in college. Scholarships this year were presented to seniors Sydney Doboe and Oliver Berry. The scholarship committee was impressed with the sincere enthusiasm for history of both students as well as their individual achievements in school and our community.
Sydney Doboe is the daughter of Sandra Doboe. She is a volunteer at the Collections and Research Center at Mystic Seaport, and wishes to pursue a career in the conservation and restoration of historical documents. This fall Sydney will attend Smith College in North Hampton, Massachusetts.
Oliver Berry is the son of Steven Berry and Amanda Campbell-Berry. He volunteers to transcribe Revolutionary War pension records for the National Archives, and wishes to pursue a career as a high school history teacher. This fall Oliver will attend Central Connecticut University in New Britain.

The Old Lyme Historical Society offers both Sydney and Oliver congratulations and best wishes for a successful school year!
